Tip #1: Apply the mask on the healthier and less porous/dry areas of your hair first. The healthier parts of the hair will grab less pigment, so you want to start there and leave the lighter areas (usually the ends) for last.
Tip #2: Apply this on clean freshly washed hair for the best results. It will work on dirty hair, but for best results make sure you shampoo and detangle your hair before using this color mask.
Tip #3: Wearing gloves is recommended. We also recommend sleeping on a pillowcase that you are okay with getting stained. Our color masks pack a pigment punch so we like to recommend playing it safe after your first wash ;)
Sensitive skin or scalp? We recommend conducting a patch test first.
Want to use the mask on extensions? Extensions tend to be porous and grab more pigment than usual so we recommend conditioning the extensions with our S.O.S. Deep Conditioner before applying the color mask so your extensions are less porous and can grab pigment more evenly.
Want a vibrant or more intense color effect? We recommend conducting a test patch for 20 minutes to see if the color effect is what you are looking for.
