Please note that Osmo have made a slight name change to one of the sheen levels in this range. It was called Satin and is now called Satin Matt. The product is exactly the same. Osmo Polyx-Oil is a professional, clear, satin-matt (3032) or matt (3062) finish suitable for all wooden floors (solid wood floors, laminated flooring, oriented strand-board etc.), cork floors and for terracotta and other unglazed tiles. Also well suited for the treatment of furniture surfaces. The Osmo Polyx Oil surface is hardwearing and extremely tough. It is water-repellent and dirt resistant. The finish is resistant against wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water etc. when dry according to DIN 68861 - 1C (German Industrial Norm). Osmo Polyx Oil is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. It is micro-porous and does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Therefore it is an ideal treatment even in rooms with high humidity. Preparation The wood, cork or OSB surface must be clean and dry (maximum moisture content 20%). Small dents and holes in the wood can be filled with Woodfiller. Only apply on frost free surface. Clean or lightly sand old micro-porous finishes. Remove old varnishes (with Osmo Paint Remover or by sanding). If required, sand with fine grain before application (maximum 150 grit) and remove dust carefully. For wood tending to attract blue stain in moist surroundings (e.g. pine) a pre-treatment (all sides if possible) with biocide-free wax impregnation Osmo Wood Protector is recommended. Application Osmo Polyx-Oil is ready to use. Please do not thin - stir well. Wood floors Apply with a firm, tight quality brush or floor brush with tight fine bristles or a commercial brushing machine. Apply first coat thinly and evenly along the wood grain. Remove surplus.
