mouth. The talker then talks in a normal volume. (If he whispers then he holds
the mouth-piece closer.) - - - Using this device is like talking at a zero
distance to the listener’s ear. The listener hears the talker’s voice and not
all the background sounds. - - - Note: This is not a toy, and not intended for
use by children. And, of course, common sense must be used, such as not
yelling into it, not inserting the ear piece into the ear canal, keeping it
clean, etc. (The ear piece is held by the entrance of the ear canal (as with
headphones), but not inside the canal.) - - - The second photo shows my
grandmother using the ear trumpet. - - - It is quite remarkable how my
grandmother can hear clearly when using this. She is not comfortable with
