环境工程学领域使用的教科书从我们的学生时代开始就几乎没有变化。学习前人积累的知识固然重要,但为了培养构筑未来的能力,我们认为必须要有“更进一步”的意识。
从研究者的角度来看,即便在可行性研究中加入了新的方案,也很难确保这些想法能够落地实施。有人说从研究成果到落地需要10年,但从实际来看,其实需要更久的时间。例如,LED 的出现大大改变了人们以往的概念。开发者向设计师提的需求不仅仅是节省能源,更是可以丰富我们的生活、能够自由改变光色和形状的技术。然而,我们看到的几乎都是与现有光源类似的东西,前进的脚步很慢。比如,为了在设计中用到日光眩光,本应该做的是提出评估公式,而不是具体方法,做不到这一点的结果,最终设计还是流于关闭百叶窗、简单粗暴拒绝了眩光。这种做法,对于作为创造舒适空间的学问——环境工程学来说,是令人遗憾的。为了让包含新技术和见解的灵感能够落地,我们有必要将更细致的解说和运用案例传达给大家,以利于激发大家“更进一步”的意识,因此,我们策划了本书。
