《本草思辨录校释》是中医古籍校注释译丛书之一。《本草思辨录》一改本草著作风格,根据《伤寒论》、《金匮要略》二书立方之义,将28种药物的药性进行了讨论,认为《神农本草经》等书是经典不能轻易改动,并对李时珍、刘若金、邹润安、徐大椿、陈念祖等医药学家所述药性理论提出了某些不同见解。《本草思辨录》不但对于本草学习有所裨益,对经方的学习亦大有促进。本次校释,对文中疑难字句做了注音和训释,对文中标点做了修改,对文中出现的不常见方剂、人物、著作作了简明注释。 
作者简介
周岩(832-约905年),字伯度,号鹿起山人。山阴(今浙江绍兴)人。咸丰六年(856年)以副车入赀为比部主事,于京邸患寒痢,几为庸医所误,遂有志于医。披览医籍,精研岐黄。为人诊疗,亦获良效,遂有医名。后历任山西祈县,安徽舒城、盱眙县令,归里复研读医典。其时西医东渐,部分中医自弃其学,扬西抑中。对此,周氏以为中医之弊,不在守旧而在弃旧,故推崇清徐大椿、陈修园、尤在泾等尊经派医家,诋毁王清任,而谓唐容川“持中西之平,阐造物之秘,洵为有功于医学”,谓西医“遗气化而究形质”,与唐容川“持中西之平”观点相仿。著有《六气感证要义》一卷(898年),《本草思辨录》(904年)。
