作者简介:格兰特·W. 里德生于新西兰,1965 年在坎特伯雷大学获得园艺科学学士学位,1969 年在加州大学伯克利分校获得风景园林硕士学位,随后与旧金山和新西兰的风景园林师合作,从事公园规划设计工作。1976 年至今,任教于美国科雷拉多州立大学园艺与风景园林系,并荣升终身教授。1978年,他开创了Grant Reid Designs 设计公司,经营景观咨询业务,专长于园林设计。1987 年,他通过了注册风景园林师考试,在堪萨斯州注册(注册号#479)。他著有《园林景观设计:从概念到形式》一书。
