  王厚余,著名工业与民用建筑电气技术专家,国际电工委员会IEC/TCC4中国归口委员会及全国建筑物电气装置标准化技术委员会顾问。致力于低压电气装置国际电工标准宣传推广工作。足迹遍步28个省市,为提高我国建筑物电气装置技术水平做出了卓越贡献。

  曾参加我国“一五”期间156项工程中大型航空工厂等的设计和国外大型工程的规划设计,多次代表我国出席国际电工会议。
  撰写有关建筑电气文章二百余篇,其中《对电气火灾主要隐患的分析和对策建议》一文被收录进中国《2000年减轻自然灾害白皮书》,在2000年全国人民代表大会上分发。
