组建幼儿之城(Youji No Shiro)的日比野设计事务所,是1972年在神奈川县厚木市创立的,已经有40多年的历史了,根本方针是“诚意、热情、善意和创意”。当时社会正处于高度成长期,新增了很多公共建筑。一直以来,事务所秉承“建筑和社会关系密不可分”的理念,40多年来,通过设计学校、公民馆、园舍等,逐步确立了自己的“know-how”(秘诀),意识到要设计出和当地匹配的建筑。其中分化出一支专门进行幼儿设施设计的专业团队——幼儿之城。

我们的事务所已经进入第48个年头,而我作为儿童设施及其附属产品的设计专家,从事设计师及运营顾问这一职业也有17年经验了。迄今为止我们已承接此类项目超过500件,其中在中国的相关项目也超过了20件。我们的特色是以建筑设计为基础,延伸到室内装修设计,直至家具设计与制造、制服与VI设计等多个维度,从而有了更加突出的卖点。同时,我们基于“让孩子们更好地成长”的教育理念,一直与大学等调研机构合作,致力于更加精准高效的设计。可以说,一切为了孩子——正是这样强烈的信念推动我们能够保持长久的热情。尽管随着时代的前进,出现了各种各样的尖端技术,但是对人类来说,童年时期能学得过来的事也就是那么多。这在中国也好,日本也好,其他国家也好,道理都是一样的,父母都希望自己的孩子能平安健康地茁壮成长。我们今后将一如既往地、纯粹地为了孩子们和辛苦养育孩子的父母们继续提供各种各样的方案。另外,我们也希望这本书能促使更多的读者开始思考“对孩子们来说什么才是必要的事情”,从而看到孩子们更多的笑容。
