这本《人文科学概论》教材,是笔者十多年来从事“人文科学概论”课程教学及开展相关研究的成果。当年开设这门课程的时候,对于课程的讲授思路、基本结构、主要内容,都没有什么可以参照和借鉴的,全凭自己在教学中逐渐摸索。但值得庆幸的是,我与何萍教授自20世纪80年代以来就开展了文化哲学研究,正是文化哲学研究使我发现了理解和说明人文科学的钥匙,自觉地沿着由维柯所开启的文化哲学方向来理解和说明人文科学。如果说我教的这门课程和写的这本教材有什么特色的话,那么我想这种文化哲学的理解思路和说明框架就是大的特色。正是这样,我经过十多年的不断摸索,使全课的讲授思路、基本结构、主要内容逐渐地清晰、丰富起来。其间,我曾几次重新撰写讲义,自己动手制作了全套用于课堂教学的幻灯片,建立了课程教学网站,并最终完成了这部书稿,送交人民出版社出版。至此,可以说,我所主持的武汉大学“人文科学概论”课程的建设,终于大体完成。
