堀野和人,1965年出生于日本大阪府。曾任总承包商、住宅制造厂设计师,创办一级建筑士事务所“住宅韵律”。一级建筑师、一级建筑施工管理者。 黑田吏香,1971年出生于日本大阪府。曾在制造商设计企划室、连环画出版公司等工作,经常作为免费设计师和插画师活动。

来自客户、事务所的房屋设计委托,大多要求起居室和餐厅大小约为32 m2,主卧大小约为16 m2(附带专用卫生间),和室(传统的日式房间)大小为10 m2,以及其他形式的房间和面积要求。很多设计师对客户在房间中的生活和所希望进行的室内活动不甚了解,即使他们为了实现设计目标而绞尽脑汁完成设计,但是对客户而言,这会是令人满意的居住空间吗?

日本人长期以来采取这样的生活方式:家庭成员全都在和室休息、就餐,就寝时直接在榻榻米上铺上被褥。时至今日,随着西方文化的不断影响,日本人也开始在起居室里休息,在餐厅就餐,在卧室就寝了,这样就需要功能划分明确的较多的房间。但是设计时必须要考虑的是: 餐厅不仅是就餐的地方,盥洗室也不是仅放置一台洗衣机和洗脸台就能令人满意的空间。 此外,浴盆和厨房的大小,与家庭成员数量和住宅面积大小有关,但并非一成不变,如果99 m2 与198 m2 住宅的玄关大小相同,那么看起来是非常别扭的。不仅要使日常生活没有障碍,还要根据住宅规模保证每个空间的平衡设计,这是非常重要的。
