作者简介

缑梦媛  1986年生。中国艺术研究院美术研究所助理研究员、《美术观察》杂志栏目主持。先后毕业于广州美术学院、中国艺术研究院,获学士、硕士和博士学位。

本书从门的基本文化观念出发,挖掘门在具体文化情境中发挥的作用,追问人如何理解门、塑造门、使用门,以此将门的文化观念具体化。与其说研究对象是门,不如说研究的是人与门的关系,甚至可以说是以门为对象或以民间居宅中的一个主题为依托研究某些群体性的观念、心态。门的特殊之处在于它天然具备的多义的物理属性,正如本书反复强调的“空间基础”“文化功能结构”,其逻辑起点 就是门之“开阖”。这使得人们对它的“言说”更趋多面化、蔓延化与细碎化。在此研究中,沿着门“开阖”这条主线,在民间众多功利性诉求的驱使下,门的文化功能研究可大致从泛灵之维、世俗之域 两个向度展开,以其空间基础为前提可纳入“内—外”“上—下”两个文化功能结构之中。
显然,这是一次从整体、全局把握门之本土文化功能的尝试。也正是因为这样的目标,本书的着力之处多体现在框架的搭建,当然这并不妨碍我对各地民居之门具体考察的呈现。从某种意义上来说,“整体”是人的建构之物,它不是真正的现实。任何“整体”都是人为了理解事物所建构出的“完形”,一种“有损”的图景。不过这也是切入问题、建立形貌的必要的工作,在“搭建框架”的过程中,引发的一些思考应该是更有意义的收获,前者铺垫了基石,后者则指向未来。
“向下”的研究。本书将门的研究限定于民间,属于“向下”的社会历史研究,这确实契合了当下学术研究潮流的转向。历史的主体是人,尤其是所谓“贵胄”之外的普通人。在关注普通人生活及社会表现的研究中,需要以人的交往、流动及相互关系为核心,用细微之处的“特例”搭建诸如观念、思想的历史框架。反过来,框架又需要更为微观、翔实的民间实例来填充甚至是修正,这可以在今后的研究中着重展开。
时空的边界。这也涉及“总体史”与“区域史”的关系问题。问题研究的时空边界须由研究对象相关涉事态展开的轨迹划定,而不是以与此无直接关联的重大历史事件为依据切割时段,不是以地区行政边界分隔空间,不是按族别将人群及其创造物做简单归类。同时,边界是运动的,而由内看向边界和由外看向边界的收获也是不一样的。但边界是必要的,它能使我们所谈论的问题更为集中,也提示我们要具备对事物间关系做出持续追问的意识。如果今后进入某个细微的问题研究中,既需要有整体史的关怀,也需要超越国家的空间范畴,将其看作世界整体问题在某个时空中的投射,在更大的时空关系中看待区域对象。
