曹汛,辽宁盖县人。1935 年6月28日生。建筑学家、园林学家、文史学家,兼善绘画与建筑画。1961年清华大学建筑系毕业,曾任辽宁省文物考古研究所高级建筑师、北京大学考古文博学院特聘教授、台湾树德大学建筑系特聘教授,20 世纪90 年代在北京林业大学教授《中国园林史》,现为北京建筑大学教授。已发表学术论文数百篇,涉及建筑、园林、考古、艺术和文学等诸多领域。治学严谨,尤精于史源学、年代学考证,擅长攻解学术难题和考断无头公案。
